Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie has this sweet little “small moments of endearment” thing going for it. It’s full of those relatable, cute ways you might describe your significant other when you’re seeing them in their best light. It’s basically the opposite of getting the ick, and for that, I praise it. We need more stories that look for the best in each other rather than the worst, and that appreciate those little traits enough to cherish them. It may not be the most fantastic story, but it gives you clever, affectionate moments to hang on to. I’m just getting into it, and that gentle charm is the appeal so far.
